Feb 17th, 2020As I head home from this trip, there is much processing going on in my head. As I was crossing the Atlantic, I penned this short prayer in my notebook. It's not well-formed, but here it is in raw form.
Lord, break my heart for what breaks Yours
May I never speak Your name without love
May I never live outside of Your will
May I hear Your voice in every day
May Your power and might be shown through me
May I not forget what You have done
May You not be far from me
May I never coast again
May I see Your will done in my life
May I not be far from Your voice
May I live by faith in You
May I live in love with You
May I love those that You love
May I hate what You hate
May I understand where the center of Your will is
Oh God, may You strengthen my heart
May You strengthen my resolve
May You break down the wall I've put up in my heart
May what is hidden from You in me be unhidden
May You purge me from my sin
I lay it all down before You
May You burn away all that is unclean
May You burn away all that is not for You
May You build in me a strong foundation for Your work
Amen
I listened to this song on rewind often while processing this trip.
